Institute of Textile Technology was established in the year 1965, which was
especially started by the Government of Tamilnadu for producing technologist to
create the employment opportunity and for promoting textile entrepreneur and
textile exports in global level. This is one of the pioneer Government polytechnic
colleges offering Textile Technology and Textile allied course.

Institute of Textile Technology is offering three Courses

1. Diploma in Textile Technology – 60 students
2. Diploma in Fashion and Clothing Technology – 30 students
3. Diploma in Apparel Technology – 30 students
